Meet Lucy!Yes, that’s right! Lucy only has one eye, but don’t think for a second it slows her down at all! Lucy is a playful, loving kitten who loves her siblings and humans equally. It may take her a minute to warm up to new people, but once you’re in, you’re in for life. Lucy loves to snuggle; she will curl up in your lap on the couch and definitely won’t miss an opportunity to sleep beside her human at night. She likes all toys, but is particularly fond of puff balls and colorful springs. Lucy enjoys playing with other kittens and is becoming more comfortable around dogs.Lucy was born with a condition called “entropion” in which her left eyelid turned inward causing damage to the eye. While her initial surgery hoped to correct the deformity and preserve some vision, the damage caused by her eyelid was too great and she ultimately had her eye removed. But, don’t worry! Lucy came out of surgery purring and hasn’t looked back since (pun intended)! Even though Lucy only has one eye, she has had no problems running, playing or keeping up with her friends. Her stitches are now gone and her condition requires no further special attention or long term follow up.
